Peppermint in horses

This form of peppermint cannot be found in the wild, but is a plant that has originated from different crosses. Peppermint is a creeping herb with lilac colored flowers and a very strong scent.

The upper leaves are harvested for their medicinal properties. Peppermint is rich in essential oils, tannins, flavonoids, bitters, and phenolic acids. It also contains vitamin E, B1, and B2. But also calcium, cobalt, iron, magnesium, and manganese.
