Nettle in horses

For thousands of years, nettle has been used as a medicinal herb. Originally from Africa and Asia, nettle can now be found all over the world. Often seen as a weed that causes a burning pain and itching, nettle is actually a very healthy wild vegetable (for example nettle soup) and is also widely used as a medicinal herb.

Do you have nettles in your horse pasture? Pick or mow them, you will see that horses like to eat them in dried form.
