Fulvic Acid in Horses
Fulvic acid is a component of humus and can bind and transport particles in the body. The quality of fulvic acid depends on the environment, the richer the plant material, the better the quality of fulvic acid.
Scientific name:
Organic material
Function of fulvic acid in horses:
- Transporting nutrients
Function of fulvic acid
Fulvic acid has two important functions in the horse's body:
-
Improved absorption of nutrients: Fulvic acid can bind vitamins, minerals, and trace elements and transport them through the body. This improves the absorption of these nutrients in the body.
-
Binds to heavy metals: Fulvic acid can also bind to heavy metals and insecticides, for example. Heavy metals and insecticides have a negative impact on the absorption of vitamins and minerals and also lower the horse's immune system. Fulvic acid can therefore be very effective as a cleansing/detoxifying agent.
Fulvic acid in horse supplements
Fulvic acid (or Fulvic Acid in English) is often added to horse supplements for its immune-boosting properties. But also for its cleansing effect.
Fulvic acid can be found not only in plant material but also in concentrated Bering Sea water. This is a very pure form that has been formed by the conversion of dead sea plants.
