Devil's claw in horses
Devil's claw is almost always given to dogs and horses with old age complaints. It works very well in animals against pain and discomfort caused by arthritis.
Devil's claw is a creeping plant that originates from steppe and desert areas in Africa. It is the tuberous roots that have the medicinal properties. Preferably the side roots if they are at least 12 years old, as they contain twice as many iridoids as the main root. Devil's claw for arthritis
Devil's claw is often used for arthritis because of its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. But devil's claw also protects the cartilage. Horses often respond very well to devil's claw. However, most horses do not like it because of its bitter taste.
Devil's claw also has blood-purifying properties and helps to eliminate uric acid. It also has a diuretic function.
