Birch leaves for horses
Horses often choose to eat fresh birch leaves themselves. These leaves are rich in flavonoids, essential oil, tannins, and phenolic acids. Birch leaves are also rich in potassium and vitamin C.
Birch is used as a diuretic, but does not put extra strain on the kidneys. It is therefore a very suitable ingredient to cleanse the kidneys. Birch leaves can also be used to eliminate uric acid. Uric acid can crystallize and can cause joint problems. In osteoarthritis/gout, birch leaf can have a positive effect.
During a detox, birch can also be used effectively due to its blood purifying properties, it has a mild detoxifying effect.
